This visually stunning set of medieval playing cards has been designed to for everyday use. The Ambras Hunting Cards are one of the earliest decks of playing cards, to almost survive completely intact. This set of playing cards was painted around c.1440. This deck of playing cards was considered a luxury deck in its day and each card was hand painted. The deck of cards was found in Ambras Castle, in Austria. Only 54 of the 56 cards survived.

The version of the deck offered here contains all 56 playing cards to make the deck completely usable. I have recreated the two missing cards

The cards come with:
  • 56 playing cards, poker sized 2.5 x 3.5 inch
  • custom printed metal storage tin

The playing cards are poker sized so they are easy to hold and play with. The playing cards come with a custom printed tin to store the cards in.

Included with the cards:
  • Metal storage tin
  • 56 Playing cards on 300 gsm smooth card stock
